I’m suffering an addiction.
Charlotte Scadeng (c) 2005
It’s a burden in my life.
And no amount of therapy
Can take away my strife.
Yes, I’m a shoe-aholic!
I’m an addict of footwear.
I love shoes and that is that
And I don’t really care.
High heels, flats or strappy,
Make outfits feel complete.
I love to see my favourite shoes
Down there on my feet.
Summer is the absolute
Shoe season of all.
So many types and colours
My bank card has a ball.
And then of course there’s winter.
With boots galore to buy.
I need them when it’s really cold
Without them I could die.
So it’s really not a problem
I don’t admit a thing.
The first step to recovery?
It’s not where I’ll begin.
I love opening my wardrobe
And seeing all my shoes.
“Which ones shall I wear today?”
It’s difficult to choose.
So my only problem really is
Decision making time.
Red shoes, pink ones, high heeled spikes
Oh the feeling is sublime!
